105 people from 60 countries, one shared global problem. What happens when ordinary people are given the tools and space to solve it together?
At the start of 2026, the Global Assembly on Food and Climate brought together 105 people from more than 60 countries and territories, and all walks of life. People of different ages, genders, cultures, and lived experiences sat together to consider one question:
What changes, if any, should we make to how we grow, share, eat, and use food, so everyone has enough to nourish themselves, while tackling the causes and impacts of climate change?
Over 7 weeks, they met online, listened to each other, and to experts, questioned and challenged until they reached consensus.
Local knowledge met global perspectives and every Assembly Member helped build solutions grounded in personal experiences.
In this video some of the Assembly Members share their stories and perspectives on what it feels like to be part of this global process.
Read more about the 22 Calls to Action that the Assembly Members developed and the Deep Dives that unpacks the key questions, tensions and opportunities that emerged from their discussions, surfacing real global public priorities.
